Fresh Start on a New Season
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: A favor house Atlantic - Coheed and Cambria
Topic: Introduction
It's that time again... football season? most people might say... but not the hardcore sports fans... oh no... they know it's cross-country season... the true athlete's sport and arguably the most accomplished yet underrated sport in our prestigious school... South Spencer that is... Anyway here's the lowdown on what's happening this year

The boys team is back and better than ever. They only lost one runner to graduation from the squad that made it to semi-state once again last year for the 4th year running and don't plan on letting that streak stop. The boys team is led by senior Andrew Jones. Ryan Parsley and John Bell fill in the second and third spots. Nathan James and David Weatherholt are also return runners from last year's squad. The new crop of freshmen show promise also. They are Chris James, Ryan Bell, Curtis Turner, and Jesse Smithers.

The girls team is also back and ready to do battle. The girls team gets some senior leadership from Cassie Parsley, a third year runner for the squad. Sophomore stand-outs Katelyn Jones and Andrea Goldman are back and ready to prove themselves once again to be two of the best runners in the state, even with Katelyn coming off an off season stress-fracture. Junior Erin Haaff is also returning for the girls. New recruits include freshmen Kerrie and Kendall Thompson, Nikki Eisenhauer, and junior Lelah Hagan.

Check back for updates on rosters and season prospects.
